Suzuki outboards are known for their versatile engines that blend performance and power with the latest features and cutting edge technology. One of their most popular features of Suzuki outboards would have to be the electronic fuel injection systems in their motors. The EFI system comes standard on the DF9.9 portables and runs all the way down the line to the V6 DF300 models. That's almost every single motor in their lineup using EFI instead of carbs.

Another innovative concept that is a first in the industry is what they call Suzuki Selective Rotation. Selective Rotation is only offered on certain models, but they are the world's first outboard that combines standard and counter-rotation operation in the same lower unit by the flick of a switch during installation. Which is perfect for larger boats with more than one outboard. One single motor for two different applications. Select Suzuki outboard motors also have Suzuki Precision Control, which is their digital "fly-by-wire" engine throttle and shift controls. With digital controls there's no cable binding or play, just smooth positive shifting and precise throttle response at all times. These controls are offered on select models starting at the DF150 and up.
